Childhood Bibles

Here's the craziest thing I've heard in a while: one of my friend's grandmother thought that children's Bible were too scary for her grandchildren so she took White-Out to "correct" the images found in the good book. This, however, made the pictures make no sense. How is the devil the devil without a pitchfork or horns?

Sadly, this "grandma edited" bible has been lost. I'd give my left arm to see it. My left arm.

Hehe, I'd love to see her own copy of the Bible. A zillion white-outed pages inside a cover. It'd be like war-time correspondence. . .
