This is just an extension of my chronology. I didn't, and don't, really like the type of people who are really, really into the Misfits. That's just me. I like the cheesy B-movie horror themes found in the music, but all the goth make-up doesn't do it for me. Also, the Misfits are more punk than metal, which is a bonus in my books. During high school, my friends and I learned to play the entire American Psycho album. It was a good time.
GBV, like any good indie rocker will tell you, are both fantastic and horrible at the same time. Bob Pollard is a musical genius but he has no filter. He releases almost everything he writes. It just means that you have to search through the albums to find the gems.
I've been watching a lot of MTV recently. I haven't been working for the last month so I've had time to watch MTV Canada. Right now True Life is on and the episode is about "friends with benefits." This is to me a question whether there is a difference between friends with benefits and fuck buddies. I believe there is and Urban Dictionary backs me up. Here's their definition of friends with benefits and fuck buddies. Relationships in the former category start as friends and then add sex while the latter bases the entire relationship around casual sex. This is why there are two different terms. Got to love modern North American English.

As much as I want to disagree with you on all things dictionary related (after our heated geek/dork/nerd discussion) I feel you are correct.
everytime i look at that picture, i think the guy holding the binoculars is you and then i get confused.
thats just me though.
i guess you could say theres a slight resemblance especially with those huge binoculars obscuring half his face.
