1. I'm currently watching Herbie: Fully Loaded. Aside from the fact that Lindsay Lohan can't act, she also can't scream very well either. This fact is bugging me more than the horrible plot (or lack there of).
2. In general, I'm starting to believe that Australian films are just plain odd. Between The Rage In Placid Lake, He Died with a Felafel In His Hand, Danny Deckchair, and Undead... well, I've enjoyed all these films but they're really, really odd. There's nothing else to really say about it.
3. 7-11 nachoes aren't very good.
4. I ain't too cool for the safety belt.
5. You will always be the light (the remix)
6. I'm made two of three mixes. Only one more to go

Australian films are also mostly crap. We have bugger all funding, and most of our half decent actors go off to Hollywood in search of actual money.
We have this major cultural cringe thing going on, though, so it might be that.
Another weird Aussie film: Metal Skin. Although The Proposition is meant to be very good.
hey, have you seen Canadian films? If it's not about incest, fringe sexual obsessions, or french/english relations, then it's not made. The major exception is Men With Brooms which is a movie about curling. Don't ask.
Curling! Curling is the most wonderfully hilarious 'sport' I've ever seen. Most of the people I know refuse to believe that it even exists.
You know, I don't think I've seen very many Canadian films. Well, I'm sure I have, but none that I've identified as being characteristically Canadian (whatever that is). From the sound of it, though, they're my sort of thing!
Don't mock curling. I really enjoy watching it and, on occasion, playing it. It is the most democratic sport. Anyone can play it; young children and old retired people. And it's the only thing that Canadians are good at aside from hockey (in general).
As for Canadian movies... well, two famous Canadian directors are David Cronenberg and Atom Egoyan. Prime examples of Canadian identity. Oh, and there's always the NFB
Ah, yes, Cronenberg. I know of Cronenberg. He makes me cringe.
same here... but it's so good.
