I buy cheap umbrellas because I tend to lose them, usually forgetting after a meeting or a lengthy dinner. $20 is the most I'd pay for a umbrella, but I can often find them for between $10-12 at a variety of different value shops. I like umbrellas better than rain jackets for urban life because unless I'm willing to spend a large amount of money to get one that actually keeps the rain off. I've got an old army surplus raincoat for camping but it doesn't breathe well. Not good for the city.
Don't know why I started with a discussion of umbrellas and raincoats. It was raining pretty bad today, but I manage to move from place to place between the storms. Still, I bought a new mauve umbrella. Seemed like a necessary purchase.
First day of school.
Ok, back to work.

I got a bad idea
There's so much fog outside. Makes me want to stay inside and avoid work. Unfortunately, I can't do that.

Pride
Was thinking about going to the Toronto Gay Pride Parade today but it's raining, so I'm not. I want to be supportive but at the same time I don't want to get wet or catch a cold. I guess weather triumphs politics/solidarity. Instead, I'm going to watch Fired Up. That's pretty gay, right?

Heat Wave
It's fucking hot. 18th floor without A/C. Nights have been killer. Being at camp last summer meant I didn't enjoy the apartment in the summer. Fuck. Damn...

Spring Awakening
As best I can recall, this was first time I ever did a proper spring cleaning. It mostly consisted of cleaning seldom used items, restocking the fridge, and enjoying the cold but nice weather. It was a productive (and slightly expensive) weekend. It felt good to organize and clean the apartment. I feel a little lighter now; less burdened with useless junk, even though there are still close to 60 empty beer bottles in the apartment.
I'm also spring cleaning my ipod. I accidentally deleted all my music so I'm now involved in the evening long process of uploading everything again.
I'm also in the early stages of starting a new project. I realize that I'm being mysterious by not giving out anymore details but this weekend was also productive 'cause I'm trying start something rather than waiting for my life to happen. At the very least it will make for an interesting summer.
Everything seemed to be getting ready for spring to start and then it FUCKING snowed. I only ventured out today to pick UFC up from work. There isn't any snow in the world of Fable 2.

Once again
After weeks of reports from around the area, it finally snowed this morning. It's now officially winter.

Reason #1 for leaving Toronto in the winter
First day was good. Got my D-list celebrity moment out of the way pretty quickly 'cause Rick the Temp was on my flight to LA. In economy. Shows you the state of Canadian media.
Oh, had an In 'n Out Burger. Verdict: pretty tasty but very greasy.

There's snow everywhere....
I can't believe how much snow there is. Fuckin' hell. Already shovelled the driveway once today and will probably have to do it again. Basically spent the entire day in bed watching television and surfing the Internet. Sadly don't have anything else today. How's the weather where you are (except most of you are in the Toronto Area, still...).
