Life is our collection of experiences. The longer we live, the longer we have to enjoy and regret the decisions we've made. I never thought this axiom was true until recently. I wandered through my twenties, thinking I had a plan but not really just like every other middle-class, university educated. Now I'm taking stock of my life (not a mid-crisis sense) but you suddenly realized that you have make choices. Someone said that you know you've entered mid-life when you realize there possibilities that are no longer available to you.
Okay, seems like I'm getting a little overly philosophical and a little whiny (and a little all over the place, hence the indent). My main point is what I thought was reflection was really just narcissism, like almost all other young people. Does this mean I'm maturing a little? Maybe. I think I just have a better perspective these days.
