You're Everywhere

I'm going to be writing another post about comic books. If you're tired of this subject I'm sorry. Things have been a little rough. Not bad, just difficult (at work). I've been finding solace in my comic book collection lately. It's comforting and welcoming. It's an escape. Also, I built those shelves so...

I listen to, and read, iFanboy. It's dedicated to comic books, specifically superheroes ones. The big discussion, aside from which superhero is the most popular at the moment*, is whether or not to read a series in issues or trades; should you buy the individual monthly comic books OR should you wait until it's collected in a trade paperback edition? It's difficult to answer. As I look upon my many boxes of books, I wonder if I should switch formats. It's cheaper to buy the trades rather than the individual issues. The trades aren't, however, collectible. I've never collected books for their monetary value. I just want to read them. So I'm thinking I need to get rid of the books I don't plan on reading again.

I have to clarify something. There are two series that I don't foresee switching from issues to trades. They are Uncanny X-Men and Daredevil. The reason is that I've extensive runs on these books. I've got almost thirty years of Uncanny X-Men issues (there are some gaps).

*It's between Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and Wolverine.
