1,000

This blog has been good to me.

When I first started, using the Internet for anything close to what's now known as "social networking" was unthinkable.

Here's some of the things that have happened because of the blog:

1) Records from the great country from Down Under
2) An awesome trip to LA LA Land
3) Relived several moments via top ten lists
4) Developed one fairly interesting metaphor schema
5) May or may not have wooed UFC with my words

Now for some music. Ten songs; one for every 100 posts. While I was at work today, I re-read the pitchfork best of lists. So here's my top ten songs from the last nine years [album links are to pitchfork reviews and artist links are to their web pages]:

1. Neko Case & Her Boyfriends - We've Never Met (Furnace Room Lullaby, 2000)
2. Wilco - I'm The Man Who Loves You (Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, 2002)
3. The Dismemberment Plan - Superpowers (Change, 2001)
4. The Constantines - Soon Enough (Tournament of Hearts, 2005)
5. The New Pornographers - Use It (Twin Cinema, 2005)
6. The Weakerthans - One Great City! (Reconstruction Site, 2003)
7. The Streets - Empty Cans (A Grand Don't Come For Free, 2004)
8. The Hold Steady - Stuck Between Stations (Boys and Girls In America, 2006)
9. Justin Timberlake - My Love (Futuresex/Lovesounds, 2007)
10. Kayne West - Stronger (Graduation, 2007)

This list isn't all that hip but it's what I've liked. I've created a .zip of all the songs. If anyone's interested can email me at ryansenseless [at] gmail [dot] com if you want one.
