My Bicycle

Since I got rid of the car two weeks ago, I've been walking everywhere. It's been great. I forgot out easy it is to walk around the city.

I've also been looking for bike. For a decent bicycle I'm probably going to pay between $400-450, unless I go here and build my own bike from spare parts. I'm tempted for several reasons beyond the simple financial aspect. There's something empowering about building my own bike. Also, it would be a great learning experience. The cost to build my own? It starts at $50, and it's PWYC for parts. It'll take roughly four hours to build, so I know what I'm doing Monday night.
