gigantic

My mini-vacation is almost over. This week has been all about UFC and I doing whatever we want. We had a plan and we followed it. It was nice because it wasn't too busy but at the same time we didn't just sit around the apartment all week doing nothing. I do, however, have to admit I'm somewhat looking forward to going back to work on Monday. I'll probably be sick of it by the end of the day but that's the way things go.

I'm slowly working through the second of twenty-two boxes of American superhero comic books. My goal is to read them all by the summer. That's a lot of reading.

In other news, several people have told me that they didn't have time for music this year. There are more important things in life than music and according to the article I read in Economist this month, that's an evolutionary process (or at least that's what some scientists believe).

Another article on the Economist website talks about young workers. I'm just on the cusp on the age group they're talking about but
I don't totally know if this applies to me. I think it has something to do with the way you were raised. Then again, it might have something to do with how these kids were raised. Things like the internet and such weren't apart of my life until I left home for university. I didn't use ICQ or MSN in high school, I totally missed the boat with social networks, and I can barely use my cellphone as it is (texting? iPhones? ringtones? What the fuck?). I've never thought the world has owed me anything. I just want to get by. I remember news reporst from the last recession. I'm worried and just glad I've got a job, even if it's minimum wage.
