Quit while you're ahead

Is the soundtrack to our collective lives bound to be shitty due to circumstances beyond our control, a.k.a. top 40 radio charts? Personally, I'm unsure about my soundtrack because I feel that it will be corrupted by market forces and other people re-writing history. This is why this blog exists. To document that I didn't like shitty music. My grandchildren will know that while Carrie Underwood's single was good, but I preferred All The Old Showstoppers.
