The Canadian Football League (CFL) had its championship game for the Grey Cup here in Toronto this weekend. I didn't have tickets for the game but I decided to go see the band Sloan for free as part of the Grey Cup festivities. Sloan were huge stars in Canada when I was in high school (their album, Twice Removed, was according to one survey in the early nineties to be the best Canadian album of all time) yet I never saw them live. Hell, I didn't even really like them all that much. However, time changes everything. It was a nice afternoon out, except for all the drunk CFL fans everywhere.
