stuck in the middle with you

So I've got finished day two of my placement in grade 8 (or 8th grade for our southern neighbours). So far things haven't gone too badly and the kids are nice enough it's just it's not for me. I will say this, one of the kids today had seen and got the reference when I called him Maverick 'cause he was wearing some awfully big sunglasses (but sadly not at night, so he couldn't see), which was kind of cool.
