Now, I had to pick singles and not albums because this was also the year I discovered MP3 blogs, and the blogosphere in general. Yeah, I know that I've had a blog for five years, but I never really got into the whole having a blog (I was too busy doing other stuff). Anyway, MP3 blogs have let me actually hear the artists that everyone is talking about. Also, it didn't hurt that I worked in music store at the beginning of the year. Reading the magazines only gets you so far. Oh, and for everyone who thinks it's a really awesome job working at a music store, it's not as good as it seems. Yeah, you get a discount but that only means you end up buying more. At least that's one dream I've lived out this year.
