I never discuss all the academic crap I learned at university on this blog. I never spend hours writing and rewriting these posts in order to included more semiotic or general academic bullshit. I wonder why? It's not like I don't enjoy that shit. I, in fact, have a very sick love for it yet am totally unable to add to the discourse. I understand but I can't find a truly unique manner to express the theory. I watch hours of television a week and almost every time I can spot the narrative devices, the cultural references, and the political ideologies mixed into the message. What I assume is that most other people also see that exact same thing, I just dress it up in jargon. That's the huge problem with what I studied in school. All it does is make me look like a complete and total asshole.
On the bright side after tomorrow I'm once again going to be unemployed. This is will leave me with lots of time to figure out how I can apply my degree to my daily life.
