a.k.a. partytime is funtime
Fun is fun. Tautologies are fun. Almost anything can be fun if you put your mind to it. What's not fun is stuff that isn't fun. You know it's true. Seriously.
Dictionary definition of fun: 1. n. Sport, amusement, jest, (make f. of, ridicule; did if for or in f.: figure of f., grotesque person. 2. v.i. (rare; -nn-). Joke.
Sometimes I don't understand dictionary shorthand, and therefore, some of the definitions given for words don't make sense to me. I'm also upset by the lack of dictionaries in people's homes. While in university I knew many students who didn't even own a dictionary. They just used the Internet. Maybe I'm just old fashion, but there's nothing like a real dictionary. I enjoy books and the Internet has yet to completely filled that niche. I get some information from the Internet, but there's nothing better than reading a book (or a comic book). Or the newspaper. There's nothing like sitting down with the morning newspaper and reading the articles. Because of the almost infinite choice available on the Internet, you don't have to read anything that doesn't totally interest you. The newspaper, however, has only a limited amount of information within it, therefore you've got to be less picky about what you read and then you, or at least me, learn more about things that you'd otherwise never want to know. In depth articles also aren't available on television, and, for the most part, the Internet. I'm such a Luddite when the mood strikes me.
