I just a library card here in Winnipeg. I had a library card when I was a little kid, but since I moved out of my parents' place I haven't really used the public library because everything I need I could get from the university library. Besides, in university I didn't have a lot of time for pleasure reading. Everything I read was somehow related to the courses I was taking. Now, with school finished, I'm in a position to start reading books for fun. I don't have read books that "significant" - I can read what is, for lack of a better word, trash. That means lots of science fiction, general history, and other. The first book I got out was Ender's Shadow by Orson Scott Card. It's a "parallel book" to Ender's Game, which was pretty good book. Card tells the same story from perspective of one of the minor characters, sort of like the relationship Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead has with Hamlet except the Ender books were written by the same author. It's okay so far, but I'm only about half way through the book. Hopefully it'll get better.
