The wisdom teeth have been out for a couple of days, and on New Year's Eve I still feel like shit.... Just thought you'd want to know. Anyway, being that it's the end of the year and all that I decide to think about everything that happened to me over the last 12 months. They weren't bad, but they were nothing special either. Yeah, I finished high school and all that but I didn't really miss it. Most people don't enjoy high school and I was one of those people. It wasn't hell like all those after school specials and teen dramas try and make it out to be, but it certainly wasn't something that I'd like to spend another five years of my life doing (and for everyone that doesn't know, Ontario is the only place in North America with a five year high school programme which they just got rid of). The first two years all I did was the work and didn't really get involved in anything at school. I went to class, did the homework, practice with the band and a lot of television (and why is watching television considered so horrible? I learned a lot from watching the learning channel and MuchMusic). Didn't really have much other interests. My last year of high school, I went enough to pass my courses and university. That's it. Actually, I can't think of any reason for writing all this. High school was something that happened. Like all other types of events, it changed my life and I wouldn't be the person I am right now if I hadn't gone. Did it do anything horrible to me? Nah, I don't want to give it that much credit. Mmmmmmm... this paragraph has been filled with negative phrasing... Wonder what a psychologist would say to that???

Right now I'm listening to the Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach album. I thought I'd lost it and was going to have to buy a new one. Most people I know don't like this album because it sounds to "mature" (or like Michael Bolton). Funny thing is that parents and their friends hate this album (I once put it on in the background at one of their parties and... well lot of people wondered why it was selected). I like it and my favourite song is "What's Her Name Today?"
