Similar Names

So I went domain name hunting this afternoon, seeing what was available for my blog. This led to a search to see what sites had similar names to me. Found a blog called senselessbanterblog.com, which hadn't been updated in almost two years. The last post was a little strange. Many blogs ended like that, with the authors abandoning them because the circumstances in their lives dictated a change. Abandonment is a good verb. These blogs are left alone, in the vast sea of the forgotten that makes up the majority of the internet. I mean, think of all those real-time sites whose is information gone almost as soon as it is posted. I'm a little surprised that the blog wasn't deleted. If I decided to stop posting here, I'd download the information, then delete the record. Yes, it wouldn't be completely deleted but it wouldn't be super easy to find. Anyway, I wonder if it was  a multi-year deal and the author never thought of it again - but then the author's other sites still link to it. So... it's an interesting afternoon Internet mystery. Nothing more.
