Okay, so I'm going to create a mix tape for myself of my favourite songs. A biography mix. Telling my story through other people's creativity. It won't be chronological nor will it be thematic. I might try to go by genre and feel. I haven't started yet but I'll figure it out.
Part of the reason for doing this project is the many SXSW podcast/coverage I have consumed in the last two weeks. I really like the song I've heard by the Wild Belle (pictured above). I'm debating ordering the vinyl single. According the Sound Opinions, this band is a brother and sister combo.
Sorry, I got lost for a moment because I'm writing and watching Our Idiot Brother. It's okay. Kind of funny... and now a couple hours later I'm watching SNL. The musical act, the British pop group One Direction, are the usual level of horrible but one of the young men in the group is styled very similar to Matt Smith's 11th Doctor from Doctor Who, bow tie and all.
