Yesterday I carried my camera around all day but didn't get any good pictures. The limitations of my point & shot camera and my skills as a photographer are slowly becoming apparent to me. So again, there's no pictures.
Walked around Kensington Market and Chinatown. Bought a nice t-shirt that was on sale. It's red. Thought there'd be more garbage everywhere ('cause of the municipal workers strike which has stopped all garbage pick up in the city), but it wasn't that bad. Got lots of nice cheese, fish and candy! Had vegetarian Ethiopian food for dinner before going to see a co-worker's band in the evening. Both were very good.
That last paragraph was awful. I kept changing the verb tense. Oops.
I'm not the only one on vacation right now. My friend bought a trailer and is travelling through the south-western United States, following roads that go nowhere (or at least he says). And he's doing cheap by taking advantage of 24-hour Wal-Marts' new policy. Seems that you can park your trailer in parking lots of 24-hr Wal-Marts for free without any hassles. Seems the only thing they're missing is showers. I'm not sure now I feel about my friend's plan. For a variety of reason, I don't like Wal-Mart. When I have shopped there (it is cheap and I don't have a lot of money), I always feel a little dirty. Either way, he's doing it and sending back regular updates. It's an interesting read if nothing else.
