So when I took a chance and tried Ubuntu, a Linux operating system, I somehow disconnected the network card on my new-ish desktop (and by new-ish I mean my sister's boyfriend's old computer). Since this happened, I had to use my old desktop, which is really slow and has a hard time running Firefox. Despite this limitation, I find myself using my desktop MORE now. I believe this is because I had to spend an hour reconnecting the desktop I feel I NEED to use it. This has also allowed me to keep the laptop in bedroom & kitchen.
My opinion about Ubuntu is this: I liked it but I had to go back to Windows because I'm not savy enough to link a computer using Windows to a computer using Linux (so I could use the printer and stuff like that). Also, my desktop monitor is quite small (13") and Linux didn't like that. If was to buy another desktop that was just for web browsing I'd run Linux on it.
Oh, and I LOVE Firefox because of the add-ons. It makes me feel all techie when I'm clearly not.
