Technologically, I've never been on the cutting edge because I've never been able to afford it. While nothing has changed, I had a day off today so I decided to try Ubuntu. I'm writing this post on my desktop which is running off Ubuntu. I also have Windows on it thanks to a little program called Wubi. This isn't my first run-in with a Linux machine. When I worked at the university, all their machines used it. It's just something different. I'm enjoying it so far but I haven't tried to do anything too serious yet. I think for a home machine that just needs to check email and surf the web using the free operating system is better than paying for Windows. There might be flaws but those will appear eventually.
