Saw Cloverfield over the weekend. It was okay. Nothing too special and it remind me of the Blair Witch Project. The handy-cam work made some of my friends nauseous. Unlike the typical monster/disaster film, there was little on-screen violence. Instead the film worked like a thriller, allowing suspense to build and relying on character development. Nothing is explained and that's how it should be. I pray to god there isn't a sequel.
