Mac developed a theory about all relationships, whether friendship or romantic. Her theory is that when two people are friends and have a big, huge fight, if they can continue to be friends afterwards then they have a real shot of being life-long friends. Same goes romances. It shows that two people can have a difference of opinion but can see beyond these things and, more importantly, forgive the other person for whatever might (or might not) have said. There was more, but I'll leave it to her to correct me 'cause I've probably forgotten an important aspect of this theory.
BUT I think she's got a point.
So, when another one of my friends tells me today that a girl that he's had a thing for for almost almost a decade (okay, it's only been eight years) has started dating him, well... I think they've got a chance. I mean, they've had their differences and there have been some huge ups and downs between the two of them, if she's serious then it could work out for the best.
