Over the course of today I had about a half dozen excellent ideas. Sadly, I have forgotten all of them.
Has anyone else read Darwyn Cooke's re-creation of Will Eisner's The Spirit? It's really good. For those of you who aren't up on semi-obscure 40s comic book characters, the Spirit is a masked detective who fights crime while dressed entirely blue. While the Spirit is a masked crime-fighter, the original was not a superhero comic. I know from this brief description, Eisner's character might sound Batman but believe me, he isn't. In the 1940s, Sunday newspapers used to have comic-book insert. 16 pages was all the space available (most mainstream North American run about 32 pages).
I lost my train of thought. Either way, I've enjoyed reading this new version of the Spirit.
