You know what I haven't talked about in a while

Comic books!

Not that I'm lacking in things to talk about, but I realized that I haven't weighted in on any of the major issues surrounding this art form in a while. I have sadly neglected this area and I intend to make up for this mistake right now by discussing at length...

Ahhhh.....

I don't know what to talk about. It's not like my current employment status hasn't allowed for hours and hours of reading time (because it has). I have been reading them but I don't think recounting the plots from ten year old comics to be very exciting. What I do want to talk about my recent reorganization of my collection. Due to the nature of my life for the past three years, I had been literally letting the comics pile up everywhere. So the first part of my agenda was to arrange these piles into logical units so I could continue onto the next phase of my grand scheme, which was labelling. I had twenty unlabelled boxes of comics. This made it very difficult to find anything because it was next to impossible to remember where exactly everything was. Over the course of two days, I labelled, sequenced, and organized everything. Boxes were moved so it was easier to access my ongoing titles. I now know where I can find specific issues, which means I don't consistently re-read the same comics. I have a tens of thousands of comic books, I should rotate through them otherwise they're just collecting dust.

It was a very calming process.
