Today I was in my elementary school placement and here are things I now know about myself:
1. I really should only teach what I know (history and social sciences) and not things I don't know (these include, but not exclusive to, visual arts, dancing, science, geography, and french; mathematics is a toss up).
2. Screaming children really give me a headache, especially when I've got a flu-like headache from my sickness.
3. I am very lazy, even at something I profess to love (teaching).
4. When left to my own devices, I will begin to watch Material Girls.
5. Owning a laptop allows me to lie in bed and write blog posts at the same time.
6. I will not be changing my stars in the near future.
7. I will not be following my feet home.
8. That the metaphor of calling the hero in A Knight's Tale 'Thatcher" like the first female leader of a free democracy in the modern era is very thin and kind of annoying (especially when you're writing a list of things that you've learned about yourself during the course of that day).
9. Nelson believes in me... and this week's South Park episode has a lot jokes about Steve Irwin's death and a Canadian ringer.
10. Yes, I realize that the last four items on my list have been based on my flipping between channels instead of actually going out on a Friday night.
