Me + Idea = Good

The regular Blogger seems to be down a lot recently. Makes me glad I switched over to the BETA...

I've been listening to a lot of Bonnie "Prince" Billy recently.

I'm getting really good at using movies as instructional tools. All those years of taking media studies courses is paying off. So far, in the two weeks I've been teaching Canadian history I've shown The Razor's Edge, Battleship Potemkin, and The Roaring Twenties. All of these movies were made before my students were born, but then again the same could be said about Wayne's World, 'cause they're so young. I love Wayne's World....

That does sound like a good idea. It just seems unfortunate that you're using it as a student teacher. What will you do as a real teacher?
