postcards maybe mankinds best invention that doesn't involve anything particularly useful except that they make people feel... well, they make us feel we were somewhere else.
In other more important news, it's Mac's birthday today. I'm not as focused as her so I don't have gift on the way via the interweb. She'll just have to wait.

did you know you can make any photo a postcard? just draw a line down the middle on the back and stick a stamp on it. my friend sent me a postcard that was a photo of a kid we intensely disliked in junior high asleep on a field trip and drooling. i opened my mailbox and there was martin. it was great.
