So I had my first class for my Individual & Society teachable and I can finally tell everyone what it will allow me to teach in the Ontario Secondary School (high school) curriculum. Aside from two Sociology/Anthropology/Psychology courses*, two World Religion courses*, two Philosophy courses*, and Civics half-course I am basically becoming a FAMILY STUDIES course. I will be expected to teach things like Fashion and Parenting. This, my friends, is a very, very bad idea. I know nothing about either subject, but I do currently know someone who's going to school for Fashion Management so... you'll be getting a call, UFC. As for the parenting... my students will be screwed.
*These courses are not offered at most schools, especially the Philosophy courses. If was teaching in Europe I'd be able to teach philosophy very easily because it's a part of their curriculum.
