I wonder if anyone has done a study yet on the style of language used by bloggers. It seems to me that there are very distinct types of "voicings" used by bloggers. I know of a couple of linguistic studies on chatrooms and instant messaging, but blogs might still a little too new. I have no clue if the style of one's writing is due to the content but it really makes me wonder (you can tell I never took any literary studies courses). I can't really judge because I'm not one to read a large variety of blogs. I usually skip people's blogs that are exclusively about their kids, pets, or very boring jobs (and how much they hate it).
While reading torontoist, a favourite of mine to start the day, I realized that I have yet to find a really good blog about the city. Winnipeg had its cultural sites, but I'm not too sure about Windsor. This being said, I've only done a couple of quick google searches so I can't say I've really spent a lot of time on this.
Guns n' Roses - Sweet Child of Mine
This is how I should start my day, everyday.
