So last night, in a bid to remain somewhat cool, I went to Brantford to see the Sadies, John Rae & the River (the River, however, were unable to attend), Some dude from the Deadly Snakes, and Oh Bijou in some really, really small club called the Ford Plant. It was really hot, but aren't all the best shows in places that are way too hot?

They didn't play this song, but it's my favourite song by them. For those of you who have never heard the Sadies, they don't sound anything like this. I also got a copy of their new record at the show, THREE DAYS BEFORE IT'S WOULD BE RELEASED IN STORES! It was worth the drive to Brantfort (about an hour and a half drive from Toronto). I also finally got a copy of Elliott Smith's from a basement on the hill for seven dollars.
Also, it took me twenty minutes to find the damn club when I first arrived in town I was distracted by this mural. The club, for the record, is right across the street from this building. ARGH!
