God save Otis Redding

Am I the only person on the planet who has a difficult time telling the difference between John and Paul voices on old Beatles recordings? I'm not even joking. I have to listen very carefully to figure out which one is singing. It has been a source of shame for many years. In my defense, I didn't really make a point of trying to figure out who sang what until about two years ago. It was right around the time that Paul changed the writing credits from Lennon/McCartney to McCartney/Lennon on some of the songs. Remember that? Silliest thing ever. I have to agree with Yoko Ono when she said that Paul was doing himself a disservice because while the dozen or so songs he changed will have the reversed names, the rest of the Beatles catelog remains the same (Paul's problem was with people thinking that Lennon was the master songsmith only because his name was first). I laugh because I don't think anyone else really remembers this.
