There's this Ryan Adams' song, Shakedown on 9th Street, off Hearbreaker that I think is just fantastic. I only think it's fantastic for one reason: the tambourine. I swear to God, Ethan Johns, the producer, must have lost his mind that day because the tambourine is so loud in the mix. It's, for lack of a better word, insane. I think David Rawlings is the man responsible for the enthusiastic tambourine playing, and I love him for it. Even if you hate Ryan Adams with a blind passion, you should listen to this track just for the tambourine. You won't be disappointed. Hell, I'll give you your money back if you don't like it.
