water and the first CD I've bought in four months

I'm sort of behind in my blogging because I've spent the last week cleaning up a flooded basement. See, I just got a temporary job as a janitor. It was supposed to a part-time job, working only ten hours a week. It would have been awesome working something like three hours a day. That would have given me enough money while not really taking up too much of my day. Because of the flooding, I've work almost twice that, which has also been awesome because I'm making big bucks. The work maybe a little dirty, but it's got a claming effect because it's very simple and doesn't require much brain power, thus allowing me to think about "loftier" things. Sadly, I just couldn't get the carpets clean. Hopefully with time, and more cleaning, the smell will go away.

On a completely different note, I've just purchased
Twin Cinema by The New Pornographers. I've listened to it three times in the last two days and I have to say that I'm enjoying it. I understand why some critics have been saying that it's nothing new, but honestly I like what they're doing, so why change? It's not like it's the exact same as the last record. There's lots of difference. Either way, if you're a fan of indie pop then you should check it out.

NOTE: The purchase of this CD is kind of a big deal because it's the first Compact Disc I've bought since I've moved back to Toronto. A little background: I was in Winnipeg for something like ten months and I returned with fifty more CDs than I left with. Also, during the four years I was in university, my record collection increased by five hundred percent. Therefore, you can see how not buy a CD for four months is a big deal. I have a little bit of a problem...
