the truth is in the details

This week is my favourite week in a long time. Last Sunday I saw Neko Case in concert. Neko was sexy and awesome like always and just release an album consisting almost entirely of covers of Canadian artists. Monday, it was Ben Folds. I haven't bought his new album, and his new single isn't like his old stuff (but that's what happens when you move to the Land Down Under) but his live show was decent. Tonight it's Wilco... I can hardly wait. This should be good because a) I've seen Jeff Tweedy in concert by himself and it was awesome b) I've heard the new album and it sounds great c) Wilco is one of my favourite bands and d) IT'S FUCKIN' WILCO! On Sunday, it's the Sadies - a Toronto band that I have yet to see live. Here's hopin'. Next Monday (the Canadian Thanksgiving) is Ryan Adams. His new album is good, his last ablum was excellent and well... I wondering if he really is an asshole like everyone says. Finally, next Friday is GBV! Last time I saw them, it was one of the best live shows I'd ever seen (and one of the drunkest - both for the band and myself). This time they're playing a large place so I'm a little worried. Oh well, there's no reading getting done this week. see ya
