oh, and I'm listening to all the shit I got/bought over the Winter Holidays (I'm only putting links to the sites I know):
1. Elliott Smith - XO (I was listening to my friend's copy before. He wanted it back, so I went and bought one for myself).
2. Wilco - AM (It's their first album. It's okay, but not as good as Being There)
3. Uncle Tupelo - March 16-20, 1992
4. Neko Case and Her Boyfriends - The Virginian (a solid country. Problem is I go to country.com and there's no mention of Neko anywhere. What's up with that? Goddamn motherfuckers need to realize that she's as country as it gets. Another fact is that Uncle Tupelo aren't on there either. Fuckin' elitist)
5. Roy Orbison - Black & White Night (live recording of one of Roy's concerts. What's so special about this concert is people like Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and k.d. lang were his band. It's so cool)
6. Liz Phair - Whipsmart and Exile In Guyville (I just discovered her and I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Oh well, better late than never. And I also agree that Exit Guyville is one of the 90s best albums)
7. The Juliana Hatfield Three - become what you are (okay, this girl is my dream girl. Don't know why, but that's just what I think. I real like her and she's so attractive)
8. Johnny Cash - The Best of (It's okay. It's the Man in Black best of record, so it really can't be bad)
9. Otis Redding - The Best of (well, fuck me three sides to forever. I was never really into soul until my friend told me to check it out and now I can't get enough. Otis is the man. that's all I have to say)
10. The Beatles - 1 (My friend Zach says that I should really have bought one of their albums instead of this, but it's so good I couldn't pass it up. Very few people in the world hate the Beatles. Some people don't really care for them, but hate it isn't. I'm also glad that I help knock the shit that was number one out of that spot by buying this album. Long live good music)
11. Screeching Weasel - How to Make Enemies and Irritate People (Screeching Weasel is probably one of the best punk bands ever. Without out a doubt. This album isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. If this was any other punk band besides SW, then this would be a great record, but I know them better)
12. The New Pornographers - Mass Romantic (Wow. I bought this because it was on so many best of 2000 lists, and I'm not sad at all. This is a great album. It really sounds like it could have been made in 1979, one of the best years for music ever in my opinion)
13. Common - Like Water For Choclate (An excellent hip hop album. The single, The Light, is one of the best songs I heard all year)
14. Charlie Parker - "best of..." from that Jazz documentary
15. Miles Davis - "best of..." from that Jazz documentary
